What is it with all these guys laying swords on the ground? It looks like a bad imitation of a gunto made in Indonesia or similar. Maybe a redone captured sword? Does the handle come off?

Not Japanese. No shinogi ji nor yokote. Maybe one of those swords made by locals to imitate Japanese swords as there seem to be some age to it. Even the Jabari looks wrong.
