acedraven Posted November 5, 2019 Report Posted November 5, 2019 Recently acquired this, took a gamble with some very bad pictures. Seller assured 100% authentic. I am questioning it, curious of others opinions? Did some googling and I haven't seen any other NCO's with characters on the blade. That and no serial number. Is that a correct assumption? Going to pick up Jim Dawson's book so I can start educating myself. Appreciate any information. Quote
ROKUJURO Posted November 5, 2019 Report Posted November 5, 2019 Philip,it would have been a good idea to read some books before the purchase to avoid mistakes like this one. The date punched on to the blade (SHOWA 17 = 1942) is a giveaway for very bad fakes. 1 Quote
16k Posted November 5, 2019 Report Posted November 5, 2019 Another thing, your sword has no Habaki. Sorry my friend, it’s fake as they come. Quote

Brian Posted November 6, 2019 Report Posted November 6, 2019 Sounds like you have good grounds for a refund. Very, very, very fake. Not the slightest doubt at all. 1 Quote
