Ray Singer Posted November 2, 2019 Report Posted November 2, 2019 This is the smith that your sword has been attributed to in the sayagaki. This is of course a highly important smith and the attribution should be taken with a grain of salt until it has been verified at shinsa. Is the blade signed? https://nihontoclub.com/smiths/MYO3 2 Quote
Julian Posted November 2, 2019 Author Report Posted November 2, 2019 thks Ray I look at the signature when it arrives ..i will let you know best regards Quote
Rivkin Posted November 3, 2019 Report Posted November 3, 2019 Problematic horimono, one of the most commonly faked signatures. Kirill R. Quote

ChrisW Posted November 22, 2019 Report Posted November 22, 2019 I would avoid the new seller. He is a total scumbag that deserves any manner of torture that could be imagined. Well known for 'enhancing' historically correct pieces into something more dubious, e.g. dremeling a horimono into a blade that did not have one before or packaging wartime blades with dressed-up incorrect parts. His list of lies is well-known here. What he's done here is just one more casualty added to his list I am afraid. While the original seller has deceived you for doing this, the originator of your woes lay with 'that scumbag that shall not be named'. 2 Quote

Brian Posted November 22, 2019 Report Posted November 22, 2019 Report him to eBay!How come I don't see a negative feedback from you? Someone needs to start letting people know his stuff is fake, messed with or just plain junk.I bet he did that sayagaki himself. Yes..I'm calling him out here. You are a CROOK. 1 Quote

ChrisW Posted November 22, 2019 Report Posted November 22, 2019 My condolences for your loss, even if the blade itself was suspect in some ways! Quote

ChrisW Posted November 23, 2019 Report Posted November 23, 2019 I suggest purchasing a blade from one of the many fine members here! You are much more likely to receive what you're looking to buy! 1 Quote
Greg F Posted November 23, 2019 Report Posted November 23, 2019 That monkey idiot really deserves to be taught a lesson. What a piece of crap he is. Julien I admire the way you look at this experience with a positive mind. Greg 1 Quote
SajoSeif Posted November 23, 2019 Report Posted November 23, 2019 I absolutely agree on everything said. If you buy from ebay try doing so from trusted sellers. There are a few. Or better: Try finding a blade from people in the selling area of this forum. Quote
Blazeaglory Posted January 10, 2020 Report Posted January 10, 2020 Seriously! Best thing to do is leave negative feedback and report the seller right away! Also, we can flag his listings. The more flags, the more likely he is to be blacklisted Quote
SteveM Posted January 10, 2020 Report Posted January 10, 2020 Just for the curious, the saya says 寛永頃 表登り龍の彫 裏二筋樋有之 代金子参拾枚 Kanei koro Omote Noboriryū no hori Ura futasuji no hi ari kore Daikinshi sanjū mai From the Kanei (mid 1600s) period Front: carving of climbing dragon Reverse: two grooves Price: 30 mai (old unit of currency) 1 Quote
