Rivkin Posted October 4, 2019 Report Posted October 4, 2019 72.2cm (28.5 inch) nagasa, mumei, papered by NTHK NPO to Omiya Morikage, active around Enbun (1350 AD). Considered one of the important smiths of Nambokucho period and a leading representative of Omiya school. Nie deki, with lots of sunagashi, making it a very bright and powerful sword. Utsuri. About 80% in polish, with some white hazing at the base of choji on one of the sides. "Daimyo torokusho" (early registration), which is speculated to stem from a shrine in Bizen area, hence probably the red lacquer which is typical for shrine possessions, though mostly appearing on yari and naginata. There are a few ware and what looks like a kirikomi chip around the hi. Comes with shirasaya (quite old and there are some warpage issues), habaki and a sword bag. I think you will not find another one like this by Morikage listed for such a price. 6,000$ to paypal shipping included, but open to negotiations. All items have a two week return guarantee, no questions asked. Kirill R.
