72.2cm (28.5 inch) nagasa, mumei, papered by NTHK NPO to Omiya Morikage, active around Enbun (1350 AD).
Considered one of the important smiths of Nambokucho period and a leading representative of Omiya school.

Nie deki, with lots of sunagashi, making it a very bright and powerful sword. Utsuri.

About 80% in polish, with some white hazing at the base of choji on one of the sides.

"Daimyo torokusho" (early registration), which is speculated to stem from a shrine in Bizen area, hence probably the red lacquer which is typical for shrine possessions, though mostly appearing on yari and naginata.

There are a few ware and what looks like a kirikomi chip around the hi.

Comes with shirasaya (quite old and there are some warpage issues), habaki and a sword bag.

I think you will not find another one like this by Morikage listed for such a price.

6,000$ to paypal shipping included, but open to negotiations.

All items have a two week return guarantee, no questions asked.
