Logan09 Posted August 22, 2019 Report Posted August 22, 2019 I recently got this Tsuba and it is clearly cast(I even found an identical one), and even the Mei which wasn't chased afterwards. Was this commonly done in the late Edo period? Quote
Peter Bleed Posted August 22, 2019 Report Posted August 22, 2019 I am sure that there were LOTS of cast iron tsubas being made in Edo times. Lots of low end "Namban" tsubas were clearly cast. Peter 1 Quote
Logan09 Posted August 22, 2019 Author Report Posted August 22, 2019 That's what I thought. There seems to be a lot of debate about cast iron tsuba on here though hence my confusion. Quote
