Brian Posted August 19, 2019 Report Posted August 19, 2019 There is just something....wrong.....with these. I suggest you stop looking at the same source Rodriguez. They all have good points, but then you have this awkward shape that just doesn't seem right. Like they are converted from broken blades or something.Shinogi? No....shouldn't have one. End of nakago just doesn't look right. Shape is not like it should be.Hamon looks ok, and it is not a modern fake. But that's about all I can say about it. Better than the last one. 1 Quote
Hoshi Posted August 20, 2019 Report Posted August 20, 2019 This isn't a tanto. This is a broken shinto wak/kanata which is being repurposed into a 'tanto' to salvage money. Most likely because the original blade has a hagire or a similar fatal problem. Quote
Jamie Posted August 20, 2019 Report Posted August 20, 2019 Look here at the board. There are good deals in our for sale section. You might first try reading and educating yourself. Asking a second opinion is good, but you should know yourself. 1 Quote
