John has gone a long way into the translation but thought he may be missing something so I decided to add a post

Here's what I have for the medal:

 

流祖弟三十三回忌

 

Ryūso otōto sanjusan konki

Thirty second anniversary of the death of the founder’s younger brother.

 

大法要記念

 

Dai Hōyo Kinen

Great buddhist service of commemoration.

 

主催  大和 講總 本部

 

Shūsai               Yamatokō Satoshi Honbu

Sponsored by the Yamato association of Buddhist debating societies’ headquarters.

 

As regards the first line I have suspicions that "younger brother" might have some meaning or connotation here other than the literal one.

 

I'm happy if you want to post this on the forum to get a sanity check on the meaning: I couldn't match a couple of the kanji to my satisfaction as they are quite stylised.
