Help opinions on possible sword purchase

Hello I am an interested buyer and the Smith is listed 短刀 Tanto 脇差 Wakizashi 兼常 (Kanetsune) 室町後期 Late Muromachi period 天文 (1532〜). Can anyone assist if this is the famous Smith or possibly someone else

If it is coming from Japan, you would have to ask why it wasn't already papered. If from outside Japan, ask if it has a shinsa guarantee.
Otherwise ignore the mei and buy it as a nice tanto.

Ok it’s definitely coming from Japan so I will ask why it was not papered
