Congratulations to your sword. Tell us more about it, what it is and why you bought it. Looks like a KUNISADA blade.

First, sorry for not signing my post. Yes it is a Kunisada blade. I’ve had a long time interest in antique arms and edged weapons, but this is my first Japanese blade. A friend on another forum steered me to it, and I fell in love with its looks. The gold inlay on the tsuba, really drew my eye. John B.

I’d rather not post the price. I have no idea if that signature is legitimate, I paid what I considered a fair price for a sword I wanted. John B .

Don't let us hardened old fools take away the Mystique of owning your first samurai sword something that was actually carried by a Samurai years and years ago that first one is special enjoy it.
