Anyone know more about this cannon?

I have seen this auction come and go a few times and out of curiosity I have tried to look up more information but turned up nothing. Maybe someone with more knowledge here can fill me in

Hi Matt.

 

This seller cropped up in a post recently which was not complimentary.  As regards the cannon, as far as I can see nothing about this confirms Japanese manufacture, the description is fanciful and what I think you are looking at is a model, probably of Western manufacture. .

Look at the size, that thing is tiny. Maybe a signalling canon. Nothing of much consequence, unless it was cheap. But we already know he shills.
