For example...I have seen a blade hidden in a kiseru.

Kisseru, fan (tessen) and walking stick (shikomizue) would be the usual ones. Interested in pics too.

I have the mounts for a shikomizue, but no blade.

This is a blade from the Ott collection, inscribed Hankei.

 

The blade never came to the auction. Two possibilities, first one: the blade were stolen. The other one:

no one knew, what it was and so they threw the blade away.

Anyone know of any Bladesmith that transformed Samuai blades into " Kisseru, fan (tessen) and walking stick (shikomizue)"?

Over the years I have had hidden blades in the following fan, pipe case, jitte and cane. The cane house a good blade. The others pretty poor blades. I think that the jitte was modern but made to look older.

i have a cane sword.  It's a beauty and I'm sure nobody would know if it were carried.
