nickm Posted July 1, 2019 Report Posted July 1, 2019 So just had a mumei katana papered to a tsuguyuki nambokucho kozori Smith.. I can't seem to find any info on this Smith and was wondering if anyone may know anything about him.. Thanks in any respect for the time Quote
DirkO Posted July 1, 2019 Report Posted July 1, 2019 There's one published Tsuguyuki Kozori blade I know of. I'll try and post pics tomorrow. Quote
DirkO Posted July 1, 2019 Report Posted July 1, 2019 This from Markus' kantei book. I know it's also published in another book, but I don't have access to that one right now. 4 Quote
nickm Posted July 1, 2019 Author Report Posted July 1, 2019 Thank you very much for the reply and unimaginable speed of reply. Once again this is an amazing site.. the blade is currently in line for sayagaki with Mr Tenobe then finally headed home tbh in hand. Quote
nickm Posted July 1, 2019 Author Report Posted July 1, 2019 Amazed they are able to attributed to a specific Smith with such an absence of work available from him Quote
DirkO Posted July 2, 2019 Report Posted July 2, 2019 More information from Supreme Sword Country, Bizen Quote
nickm Posted July 2, 2019 Author Report Posted July 2, 2019 Thank you again very much for the information. Question then is it better to have a sword from a maker that has many works or to have a sword with only a few works catalogued in existence? The old papers for the blade attributed it to tsuneiye which there is a bit of info on... New nbthk papers put it to tsuguyuki which seems a lot more scarce... Quote
nickm Posted July 2, 2019 Author Report Posted July 2, 2019 better might be the wrong word. Maybe more desirable or something to the effect. I do like the idea of having something that is not commonly around I guess Quote
