I have started my packing for the San Francisco sword show. A friend who collected swords and fittings about 20-25 years ago has consigned them to me. So please drop by and see the offerings. They have not been out of his hands for a couple of decades. Six swords under $2k, a bunch of tsuba and kozuka +++. He is interested in liquidating them and I have priced them accordingly.

Please drop by and introduce yourself. I know the names of many on the list but not the faces.

The best quality seems to be in Japan, but the good deals seem to be at the USA sword shows. Have to make it there oneday! :)

Sounds good Barry, please let us know the show report. Congrats on the JSSUS re-election (I get the joural late ;) )

Regards,

Brian

PS - For those who don't get it, the JSSUS desperately needs articles for publication, so anyone who can contribute...

Yes, we need articles. John Eliyas is taking over as editor and we want to get him started well. If you care to contribute you can send articles to him: eliyasj@comcast.net

Thanks, Grey

And on the subject of the San Francisco sword show: don't any of you post juicy stuff for sale here on the board until we all get home from the show.

Ha - ha! Packing too. I'll stop by of course and say hello. this is the best show of the year so I am looking forward to it greatly.

PS: as for the quality remark you haven't seen my stuffs!!!

Pete,

I have no doubt you have some mind-numbing items there for sale, as will others I'm sure. I am just trying to convince myself that Japan was the right choice instead of finally doing the USA, it's taking some serious self-convincing :)

At least the haggling will be easier in the USA, and you have the benefit of knowing your customer base.

Ah well..have a great time those who will be there. Post the highlights (and lowlights) when anyone has a chance.

Photos anyone?

Wish work didn't have me pinned here. It has been a while since I've been to the San Fran show, and yes... certainly the USA shows are the best place to find and buy good fittings at the best prices.
