What sort of comments are you expecting? I think it’s real.

Captured example from indonesia or other pacific island nation and handle replaced. I believe it's real as well.

With the poor pictures provided, I would not venture a guess. Could as well be a locally (south-eastern Asia) made blade.

I think its a real sword with a junk ww2 koshirae. The price is stupid high. The Koshirae is worthless and without seeing the hole blade i would not spent more than $50 to see what it is.

Navy vet knot tying on tsuka..called coxcombing...otherwise looks real.

What Stephen said. This knotwork was done by sailors. Wouldn't be surprised if the sword is ok.

Unless a lost treasure sword it is firmly in the curio school of Japanese military swords. The chain hangar is probably the most valuable thing in the package.
