pcfarrar Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 Anyone have any ideas on a school for this tsuba? I assume the design is depicting geese in rain? I guess Akasaka or Owari? 67mm x 62mm x 5mm Thanks! Quote
DirkO Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 Akasaka usually has a distinct layered contruction, can you see that in the steel ? Here's a pic of an Akasaka tsuba I'm selling on Ebay at the moment, does the mimi look similar ? Karigane zuyo is one of their common designs. Quote
saemonjonosuke Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 i don't think it is akasaka, by mimi. can be shoami. Quote
pcfarrar Posted August 11, 2008 Author Report Posted August 11, 2008 Here is a photo of the mimi. The tsuba appears to have been black lacquered at some point in its life. Quote
