I purchased this lovley big tsuba from a well known member of this board.

I try to find out about the motif.

My guess is a small (tea) table and a stylized kiri mon.

Timeline around 1500 - 1600.

Did anyone of you have a comparable tsuba or seen this design elsewhere?

I think that the design on either side may be the bridges (ji) used on koto (stringed instrument).  I've seen similar on other tsuba.

That was my first thought also, but I think they're not kotoji....kotoji don't have the upside curled feet and are depicted differently...

Could well be Chris. this design is often interpreted as drawer pulls but in this instance perhaps not.  At any rate it's a nicely balanced design with lots of character.
