Logan09 Posted April 27, 2019 Report Posted April 27, 2019 Trying to get help on these. On a Wakizashi I purchased. Kashira has writing on other side as well but can't get a good photo. The fuchi also has writing on the side(I'm thinking it might be part of a poem) but I cannot get a good enough photo(there is rust damage) Quote

uwe Posted April 27, 2019 Report Posted April 27, 2019 Cool kashira! In shape of an old kabuto (real “kabuto gane”, so to say ????) Quote
Logan09 Posted April 27, 2019 Author Report Posted April 27, 2019 It is a nice kashira. Condition looks a lot better in person too. Updated more photos of the rest. Probably impossible to make out what it says on the fuchi. Quote
SteveM Posted April 27, 2019 Report Posted April 27, 2019 On the other side of the kashira, it looks like 兒嶋 髙德 (Kojima Takanori) https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E5%85%90%E5%B3%B6%E9%AB%98%E5%BE%B3 https://wiki.samurai-archives.com/index.php?title=Kojima_Takanori 1 Quote
Logan09 Posted April 27, 2019 Author Report Posted April 27, 2019 Thanks Steve! After looking at the kanji you wrote it sure seems to match up with it as much as I can tell. I'm wondering if the xxxxing has something to do with the "theme" as well. I will have to do more research. Quote
