Eric H Posted July 6, 2008 Report Posted July 6, 2008 KAZUSA no SUKE KANESHIGE Hints : masame in the shinogi-ji, the tapered boshi, the hamon with a resemblance to KOTETSU. Eric Quote
Eric H Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 I'd like to add the following: At first glance, the shallow undulating hamon with irregular nioguchi (similar to Kotetsu's suguha hamon), the pointed boshi and the in some way pronounced ha-agari nakago-jiri left me think of Izumi no Kami Kaneshige, then because of the hint kanbun-era of Kazusa Kaneshige. But the yasurime in almost kiri does NOT match with these Kaneshige's. Sorry for the inconvenience ! Eric Quote
Jean Posted July 7, 2008 Author Report Posted July 7, 2008 Eric, Don't be sorry you are the only one to have given an answer to this quizz. I am deeply involved and (shall be) in my next moving and cannot check/give an answer as I have already packed my Japanese books. Quote
Lorenzo Posted July 8, 2008 Report Posted July 8, 2008 As the last time Aoi Art didn't let us too much time to guess the tosho. The sword is now online for sell, with the mei visible. Quote
