Gentlemen,

i`ve placed a bid on this tanto...but, my question is, if it should come to buying it, is a good buy. What is a fair price for this item? I don`t actually care that much who made it (I`m not knowledgeble there yet. I just like the tanto/blade for what it is )

If you can get this for a couple of hundred bucks, why not? As to it being kokuho, well, what do you think? Masamune signatures have been put on nakago for centuries. Everyone wanted one and now someone may again. Nice little coffee table piece,eh? John

It looks very tired, no more than a few hundred $. You'd probably be able to get something a lot better from Aoi Art. They always have cheap tanto around 100,000 yen every few weeks.
