yurie Posted November 4, 2019 Author Report Posted November 4, 2019 Hi Ed (狼), I really enjoyed Maastricht. Your daughter is lucky to be able to study in such a ideal environment. We stayed in a hotel it was once a monastery and Napoleon stationed there and stored ammunition. It was impressive I was walking where Napoleon once walked. I attached a photo of the hotel. (I hope I attached correctly). Also, I was glad to see the square where Andre Rieu hold his concert. I am a big fan of him. I practice violin with his music as a back ground music on Utube. EdWolf Posted November 4, 2019 Report Posted November 4, 2019 Hi Yurie, That's a beautiful place to stay. Andrea Rieu playing at the vrijthof is always a big happening. Hope you can once visit Andre playing in Maastricht. It's a great experience! My youngest daughter is also playing violin. She also liked Andre Rieu but she is more a fan of Vanessa Mae. All the best and I love reading your website! Ed Quote
yurie Posted November 14, 2019 Author Report Posted November 14, 2019 I posted a new chapter "How to handle a sword". This is for the people who are new to the sword field. I am redoing, editing, checking, adding and eliminating from the chapters I posted in the past. I found many mistakes. The most embarrassing thing was the entire paragraph was missing. This is my excuse but computer has its own mind. Frustrating. After I correct each chapter, i will re-post again. Thank you. 6 Quote

Brano Posted December 16, 2019 Report Posted December 16, 2019 Dear Yurie, I found your website a few weeks ago. I'm a beginner collector from Slovakia. There is essentially no collector community in my country, so I can only get information from books in English and information on the web. Your website is simply amazing. Interestingly written history of Japan and influence on the development of swords. Greatly explained characteristics of blades and individual schools in different time periods I hope you will publish your knowledge in your book once and look forward to it I sincerely thank you for your time and willingness to share your knowledge with other Japanese nihonto fans I have found a lot of valuable information on your site and I will always be happy to come back here Quote
Ken-Hawaii Posted December 16, 2019 Report Posted December 16, 2019 Brano, you do realize that Yurie's Web-site & the Nihonto Message Board are two separate things, right? Quote
Brano Posted December 17, 2019 Report Posted December 17, 2019 Yes, Ken, I realize - of course I found this thread by accident and wanted to thank Yurie for her great work Quote
Brano Posted December 17, 2019 Report Posted December 17, 2019 Have I broken any rules I don't know about? Quote
Ken-Hawaii Posted December 17, 2019 Report Posted December 17, 2019 No, of course not. Just wanted to make sure that you understood the sites are separate. Everone appreciates Yurie's hard work! Quote
yurie Posted December 17, 2019 Author Report Posted December 17, 2019 Thank you very much for telling me that. Writing itself is not so hard, but handling the computer is very hard. I can scream at my computer. I often forget to save. My analogue mind can not handle computer. I can not thank you enough to those who appreciate what I write. Right now, I am going over second time. Changing here and there, adding more photos. More than anything else, the spelling and sentences. I am adding more travel information. After I finish redoing, I will publish. TO Brano : My husband mother's ancestor is from Slovakia. Of course mother-in-law was deceased long time ago. Thank you 6 Quote
Ken-Hawaii Posted December 18, 2019 Report Posted December 18, 2019 Still hope that you'll publish as an e-book, Yurie. 1 Quote
