ROKUJURO Posted December 6, 2018 Report Posted December 6, 2018 Greg, with the KANJI pages provided by the board, it seems that the second KANJI is KAZU (or ICHI) and the third might be FUMI. The experts might know better. 1 Quote
Greg F Posted December 6, 2018 Author Report Posted December 6, 2018 Hi Jean, using the book Japanese sword of Japan by Joseph Bott Ichi was the only one I could match too. Thank you. Greg Quote

SteveM Posted December 6, 2018 Report Posted December 6, 2018 Any help/thoughts on this one would be much appreciated. Seller says kanechika but because Im not very good at this and am having trouble matching it in my search. The seller could be right. The mei doesn't say Kanechika, but the mei is another name for Kanechika. Now, armed with that info, you should be able to search and get the rest. * As usual, I do not claim the signature is authentic, I can only tell you what the inscription says. 菊一文珠 edit: You beat me to the punch! 1 Quote
Ray Singer Posted December 6, 2018 Report Posted December 6, 2018 The mei Kiku Ichi / Kiku Ichimonji seems to also be seen quite a bit in late (Showa) pieces. A factory/mass production of sorts I believe. The name is still being used. http://www.kikuichi.com/about.php#En 1 Quote
