Emma Posted November 6, 2018 Report Posted November 6, 2018 Dear members Someone has a Kyushu Higo Kuni Dotakuni Kozuke Fujiwara Nobuyoshi tachi to show me . Anyone knows how much this swordsmith is valuable ? Thank you for your advice Emma Quote
Guest Rayhan Posted November 6, 2018 Report Posted November 6, 2018 Dear Emma The condition, overall length, dimensions, certificate status, etc all play a part in the pricing, do you have any further info? Quote
Ray Singer Posted November 6, 2018 Report Posted November 6, 2018 Is this the sword you are looking at? I don't have any references for this smith unfortunately. https://www.masamune-store.com/tachi-fujiwara-nobuyoshi,us,4,IA_AN_TIQ_005.cfm 1 Quote
Emma Posted November 6, 2018 Author Report Posted November 6, 2018 Yes Raymond It is this one but the price is high: 18000€ so I would need further knowledge about it! Quote

Emma Posted November 6, 2018 Author Report Posted November 6, 2018 The item is the one Ray put in links if you want to have a look? Quote
Guest Rayhan Posted November 6, 2018 Report Posted November 6, 2018 The sword is of superior length The condition is hard to make out in the pictures but assume this variable is set at recent polish The koshirae is of fair condition There is no certificate so authenticating the signature is a gamble Without a fresh polish and papers i think 18k is too high but over 12k for sure at this length as long as it has no major flaws and is proven to havean authentic signature Quote
Ray Singer Posted November 6, 2018 Report Posted November 6, 2018 I would not consider at that price without kanteisho. Again, the swordsmith does not appear to be on that is listed. Perhaps a meikan-more (valid signature for an unknown smith) or others here may have a reference. Yes RaymondIt is this one but the price is high: 18000€ so I would need further knowledge about it! mywei Posted November 6, 2018 Report Posted November 6, 2018 Nobuyoshi 信賀 apparently was a early name of Dotanuki Masakuni Asking price might be reasonable if this was papered...Dotanuki seem to be even more in demand in recent years Quote
Emma Posted November 6, 2018 Author Report Posted November 6, 2018 Thanks to each of you for your help ! I will go and see this blade to ... feel it , and maybe post some more pictures then ! Quote
Guest Rayhan Posted November 6, 2018 Report Posted November 6, 2018 Please don't touch the blade as fingerprints rust the steel. Good luck and hope it works out! Quote
Ken-Hawaii Posted November 6, 2018 Report Posted November 6, 2018 Emma, I would personally ask for a guarantee that the blade would pass shinsa attributed to Dotanuki, if not that specific smith. At that price, or anywhere near it, that's a very reasonable request. Quote
Emma Posted November 9, 2018 Author Report Posted November 9, 2018 I have seen the tachi, a heavy ubu blade . It seems to me that there is no major flaw. , but there is a fukure (?) in the middle of the shinogi-ji. I have pictures but I do not manage to put them on the post . I can send them by mail if someone want to see them? Quote
Emma Posted November 9, 2018 Author Report Posted November 9, 2018 By the way , dear Rayhan, I do not put my fingers on the blade :-) Quote
