Geraint Posted October 23, 2018 Report Posted October 23, 2018 Dear Andreas. Go carefully, I do not think this is Japanese shirasaya but rather modern martial arts sword. Certainly could be wrong but have a good look at the blade. Of course you may already know this......... All the best. Quote
raaay Posted October 23, 2018 Report Posted October 23, 2018 Andreas as Geraint says , I have seen these before they are reproduction swords, Quote
SteveM Posted October 23, 2018 Report Posted October 23, 2018 Should be 一、血気の勇を戒める事 (or 戒むる事) Hitotsu, Kekki no yū wo imashimeru koto although everything after 戒 is unreadable. One of the 5 precepts of a certain Karate school. Someone else has translated this as "Guard against impetuous courage" (i.e. don't get into heated arguments/fights) https://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/cb1000sf_karateman/22340314.html Quote
