The blades are in chronological order (Newest at the top). My daughter (3yo) named the armor Mr. BubbleGuppies. Everyday she comes down and says Konnichiwa Mr. BubbleGuppies. Best, James 10 Quote

Geraint Posted November 2, 2018 Report Posted November 2, 2018 Dear James. If the wakizashi is the Masanori then it only just misses the katana definition. Assuming that the blade is meant for the koshirae, you have it in hand so you will know that it's a fit, then the possible suggestion is that whatever we collectors call it the person who wore it regarded it as his katana. I have seen several daisho over the years where the dai was actually wakizashi length. All the best. Quote
EastCoast Posted November 3, 2018 Author Report Posted November 3, 2018 Geraint, Interesting. Thanks for posting. I was wondering if that was the case. The koshirae is a perfect fit. It almost makes me wonder if the owner was using the length of the koshirae as a battle tactic. I guess we can only wonder. Best, James Quote
PNSSHOGUN Posted November 3, 2018 Report Posted November 3, 2018 The owner might've had long sword envy.... Quote
