Lawrencevanrijn Posted June 4, 2008 Report Posted June 4, 2008 Hi, First of all, i apologise if this is a many times conquered topic. I am trying to learn more about the art, the rules and the hiastory of the Tsuba. Is there a link to familycrests, should they be made form specific materials and so on. I haven't been able to find a book on it either (not sure if one exists). Cheers, Lawrence Quote

Brian Posted June 4, 2008 Report Posted June 4, 2008 Lawrence, I am not sure exactly what you are asking. Are you asking about the use of family crests (mon) on tsuba, or tsuba that have their design based around mon? This isn't all the common of course. Mon are found on tsuba, but they are in the minority. Or is your question more about the tsuba themselves? Regards, Brian Quote
