Blazeaglory Posted October 25, 2018 Report Posted October 25, 2018 I'm happy, the polisher sent me these two pics today he finished the blade. Now it goes directly to make a shira saya. And maybe, i hold it before december in hands. I can only show the two pictures with before and after. Before: blade1.jpg blade2.jpg blade3.jpg After: 44498962_719851961700274_998816664982126592_n.jpg 44419909_709406606095507_7058012485860720640_n.jpg Now i go to drink a beer on this nice evening. Wow! The polisher fixed the chips in the edge(ha) and everything? How the heck did you even know it was worth polishing? Very good job by whoever polished that one! And good eye???? Quote

Isshu Posted February 22, 2019 Report Posted February 22, 2019 Hi All, I thought that I would share my recent addition to my collection. It's a Chidori jumonji yari signed by Echigo no kami Kanesada (Terukane). It is newly polished, papered (TH) and in new shirasaya. It's such a beautiful little yari and it's hard to stop admiring it since I received it. The photos are not the best but I think you can see the comparison for a before and after. Regards John C. 7 Quote
TheGermanBastard Posted February 22, 2019 Report Posted February 22, 2019 This is a very interesting Yari! Quote

Gunome Posted February 23, 2019 Report Posted February 23, 2019 Thanks for kinds words. When I bought it, there was rust and scratches. The hamon was difficult to see but I thought it would be gunome. After polish it turn to be more hitatsura than Gunome. Quote
Jean Posted February 23, 2019 Report Posted February 23, 2019 Gunome, I suspect you bought it because it was gunome 1 Quote
Ed Posted February 23, 2019 Report Posted February 23, 2019 Nice examples! This thread makes me wish I had taken before photos of some of the ones I have had polished in the past. 1 Quote
