Purchased English translation of Koto and Shinto Hen from this seller.

Shipping charges were $88.00 (Germany to USA). I've purchased Katanas from Japan with cheaper shipping charges.

Was not advised of charges prior to "Buy It Now".

IMO he (as everybody) should only charge the actual shipping (and maybe handling) fees. What amount did you see on the label outside?

I have to admit that shipping from Germany is QUITE expensive

They charge you 32 EUR (app. 50 USD) for a package up to 5 kg to the U.S. (insured of course). It jumps to 42 EUR (app. 66 USD) for packages up to 10 kg.

Did you talk to him about the fees?

remember this for now 1 EURO = 1.56 USD so 88 USD = 56 EURO i'am not sure in Germany but in France for heavy books

it's the price so better ask for shipping cost before bidding in europe :?

Never occured to me to check the package itself for indicated shipping charge.

The two books certainly did not weigh 10 lbs.

Hello,

we are often in these Forum, and read the news.

At this point i see that you talk about me.

 

First, in the ebay auction has stand clear, ask for shipping Price, by interest, i post the ebaynumber here. Mr. M. has not ask for the shipping Price, he use buy it know on ebay.

 

Shipping from Germany to the USA was at this poit after we have send the Pakage to Mr. M. 55 euro, that was exact 88 USD$.

Here is a link with the Bill, you can see clear on the right side, that we have pay 48 euro for shipping, and 7 euro was the Price for the DHL shipping Box.

There was no handling charge from us, nothing.

 

After 3 Weeks we have send Mr. M. a few mails, if all is ok, no replay, only that he has receive the Pakage.

 

After i send him a mail again, to give his please the Feedback on ebay.

 

No replay from him.

 

Last Time after i have check the Feedbacks on ebay, i see he has give us a neutral Fedback.

 

I have send him a mail, and ask him why a neutral Feedback, no replay.

 

After 2 Days i have give him a negative Feedback for no response of my mails. This Feedback has nothing to do with his Payment, was all ok and fast.

 

We have never problems on ebay, this was the first Time.

 

We have a lot of buyers here from these Forum, include (names removed by moderator), and a lot other. I hope i can say these.

 

After 5 Days we receive this Message as reaction from Mr. M., here the copie:

I suggest you withdraw the negative.
