Brian Posted August 12, 2018 Report Posted August 12, 2018 Based on the pic that is supposedly after restoration, they did a careful cleaning, and not so much polishing. Which is a good thing. That yari looks amazing. Would be minimal effort to translate what is on there. Anyone able to get a pic or know someone in Sacramento? 1 Quote
Bazza Posted August 12, 2018 Report Posted August 12, 2018 The yari has the same shape as an arrowhead I was looking at earlier today... BaZZa. Quote
TETSUGENDO Posted August 12, 2018 Report Posted August 12, 2018 Great example of conservation vs. restoration, once the original nature of an object is subjected to restoration there is no going back. Conservation, on the other hand is reversible....the original qualities of the object are preserved not altered or effaced. -S- 2 Quote
