Ontario_Archaeology Posted June 27, 2018 Report Posted June 27, 2018 Yesterday the Seller tianning1206 listed a bunch of swords, some repos, some look ok. I cant help thinking that the pictures of the swords are old Showa22 photos. It is especially suspicious that the seller only put a one day timer on the auctions. What do you guys think? https://www.ebay.com/sch/tianning1206/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from= Matt Quote
PNSSHOGUN Posted June 27, 2018 Report Posted June 27, 2018 Scam listings, they are showa22 auctions with photos edited to look like different lighting. I think the real winners are the handpainted oil "artworks", true investment pieces.... 2 Quote
Brian Posted June 27, 2018 Report Posted June 27, 2018 Fraud, I have no doubt. Anyone who bids, note that you are never getting that sword.Odd, he really went out of his way to build feedback. This must be a high level operation. Bet he is going to hit eBay with a ton of fraudulent stuff in a short space of time, and max the takings. Weird assortment of stuff for sale. This guy is bizarre. And yes..agree. He (they) spent a LOT of time using photoshop or lightroom to try and alter the pics just a little bit. Sophisticated.Posts his email on his store page. Quote
Vermithrax16 Posted June 27, 2018 Report Posted June 27, 2018 Cat General painting should be well bid. 3 Quote
Ontario_Archaeology Posted June 27, 2018 Author Report Posted June 27, 2018 The cat general painting even has a higher starting price than a buy it now option, not to mention the shipping cost https://www.ebay.com/itm/Oil-painting-animal-Portrait-HD-Print-on-Canvas-Art-Deco-General-cat-12x16inch/272731310766?hash=item3f800d8aae:g:kNAAAOSwTf9ZTG~v Hopefully this seller is shut down sooner rather than later, last thing we need is more snakes on ebay Matt Quote
Fuuten Posted June 27, 2018 Report Posted June 27, 2018 That commander Kitt actually looks pleasant though. Quote

TETSUGENDO Posted June 28, 2018 Report Posted June 28, 2018 The "works of art" are a bizarre selection...it just gets stranger and stranger. Most of this stuff is so rediculous, when you factor everything together, that it proves little treat to even the mildly informed. I do feel badly for the completely unprepared, but people must take some responsibility for themselves. So, for the billionth+ time...both shopping on Ebay without knowledge of what you are buying and performing major surgery at home, could end badly. SURPRISE! 2 Quote
