Hi. I am in Japan for a short stay. Does anyone here know of an outlet that sells the cotton cord or tape used by the Japanese to secure the tops of their wooden boxes? Thanks Mark

BTW you can visit Hakoyoshi main store at 1-27-12 Higashi Ueno, Taito-ku in Tokyo.

 

They use Sanada Himo for their cords.

Or reverse the order and go to the store first. There are some good cheap eats in the area.
