After the (not so special) Iga-yaki chawan slideshow...

 

Kaneshige Toyo, Bizen-yaki. This was my first chawan. A lucky shot. :roll:

What a fortunate intro to chawan collecting, lucky is an understatement! This piece is quite the sober beauty...the glaze and form are georgeous. I fear that ceramic collecting is not as robust as it was in the past, anything to inspire interest is a good thing, keep the videos coming.
