Nobufusa On Ebay

This signature sure looks gimei to me. Funny, the seller even references the page in the Slough book to look it up. Wanted to get some opinions...

Haven't got Slough's book, but Aoi guaranteed this would paper, and I'd say the one on eBay compares favorably.

Looks like all the other Nobufusa's ive seen.

He has a bad rep...too bad some good swords comes his way.

at a quick glance it looks fine to me. i am not into gendai but have seen a few by this maker (2 generations i think)

What leads you to gimei? looks just as 8th gen in sloughs book.

A couple of the characters seem off. At first glance it looks good. However, looking closely stroke for stroke next to the book. It’s looks funny to me.

If i was paying someone to forge a signature it wouldn't be the snaky Nobufusa

You are probably right Stephen. However, with the current price of gendai swords anything is possible nowadays.

Only thing looks off is the kissaki which may have been poorly repaired.

The mei seems fine to me. I don’t think the reference to sloughs has any significance other than referencing Sloughs like all of the other listings out there. I’m quite sure you would put Sloughs references in your listings if able to on a higher rated smith.
