Real Or Fake Gunto Tsuba Sword Should I Buy It Or Pass?

Hey Everyone,

 

I am very new to the message board. I just came across this sword which looks to be a Gunto Tsuba?  but my lack of knowledge proceeds me.

It is heavily rusted, and looks to be extremely aged. Not sure if this is a cheap fake or if it is legitimate . Any help with Identifying it would be greatly appreciated.
