Hi,

This sword was on Ebay and sold for more than $4,200.00 It said it was signed Tsunemune. I looked for a long time and only found a Tsunemune that was left hand man for an Emperor . Anyone Know ?

Hi Max,

It was a floor bidder. Crazy ! That was the only picture of it. Maybe he knows what it was. I could not find anything on a Tsunemune in my books.

I watched it go yesterday, i thought most of the swords they had sold for too much considering the pictures of them sucked, though 3 medium swords that where sold as "not researched" sold for only around $700 i believe, everything else went for big bucks IMO.

I can see the floor bidders having seen the swords had a much better picture of the swords, but the Internet bidders had a very poor picture of just one shot of them, still the prices went very high, not even considering the added 15% fee.

Hi James,

The three swords on one lot sold for $1,400.00 , I bid on those ,low bid . The two tanto's went way high.

I saw that sword and others from the same auction house. Maybe the buyers had additional (better) pictures emailed to them or viewed in person.
