Hi all,

Mr. Hoppen told me that he is going to sell almost every sword on his site. If some member is falling in love with one of the swords please contact Mr. Hoppen to discuss selling issues.

I am glad his website came back online. For a few months he was offline and he has built a truly remarkable collection with Juyo rated examples of the major schools.

Has anybody ever bought a sword from him and can vouch?  How does it work when there is $20K (or whatever) at stake traveling Germany?

Grev, he don't notice prices. Feel free to tell him your price and feel free to ask about his hidden treasures. Think you can find very good swords for fair prices.

Peter,
Trouble is, by nature people won't ask for prices. I know most don't want to post prices and say "contact for price" but I think they lose 85% of the market that way.
There is no temptation, and any serious seller should just post prices if they really want to sell.

Right Brian, said the same as you, but he wants to tell no prices. So he is the boss. When someone is interested in the Ko-Ichimonji, I think he will sell for a really good price.

Secondly there are some more very good swords, he don't list, cause he won't sell them the other day. But will sell them today. So if someone wants to buy a treasure ( not in Japan..!) in Germany, talk to him.

We got to see few of his collection at Samurai Art Expo like Michael hinted above, very nice items.

I can totally understand his decision to go without prices. It often happens with high quality items.
