obiwanknabbe Posted January 30, 2018 Report Posted January 30, 2018 I have seen the diamond/punch stamp before on other blades that were made by Bishu ju Mano Masayasu... Some have conjectured they were used as inventory/batch marks. I have a theory that they denote blades made by the master and not a student as i have observed that they only show up on blades that are Soshin Mei . 1 Quote
Hastur Posted January 30, 2018 Author Report Posted January 30, 2018 I believe there may be a connection with Mano Kuniyasu/Masayasu. odd that they are separate grades on the Toko smith reference though. same person or closely related perhaps? Quote

Hastur Posted January 30, 2018 Author Report Posted January 30, 2018 Looking at Mano Masayasu's Soshinmei in Slough's it looks pretty similar to this Kuniyasu. Quote
