Hi guys,

 

picked up a interesting little photo of a mounted cavalry solder with a very interesting double slider on his type 32 tassel.

 

this guy was really interested in keeping his sword during charge's

 

just interested in whats written on the pic. well beyond my pay grade.

I'm not entirely sure about some of the kanji, and being on a Yamanote line train back from lunch (and a couple of beer ;-) ) with Gordon Robson, I think its reads

 

戦勝の新春

 

呈諸槗君

 

成家三郎

Oh, I thought "spring" :-(

But right "shun" is the other reading. Sounds much better :-)

The last line seems to be a name?!

Morohashi 諸橋  would be my guess for the recipient (as many have probably already figured out). First time for me to see this variant of 橋.

well I found another interesting photo I need help translating, please. iv been a bit poor of late but this time a donation to the board as a thanks

 

this is the first time I have seen a sword slung over the back, I have read about it but this is a first for me

(not too sure about the last two characters.)
