i cant find the post someone was looking for sound gunto

 

This Kanenaga might fill the check off list, i dont think its 'the' Kanenaga rated 2mil yen, could be shinshinto? lower end of nakago looks darker, it has two holes also it just might be a older blade, not 100% on that might just be a seki smith?

 

ask for blade photos he sent me a slew, kissaki has a slight roll but a touch on whole blade would take care of that.

Agree it looks suriage and maybe older, but then there are also the comments made here previously that no-one has seen a decent blade (100% traditionally made) in those mounts before. Myself included. Never say never....but it would be unusual.

Mis-matched parts, hmmm, seen that somewhere before. No shortage of Kanenaga smiths, nice looking sword, shallow sori, maybe even Shinto era Kanbun...
