Hey,

How come your auctions sometimes vanish before they get to an end ? And I don't mean one or two, but sometimes when you have 5 auctions, they all vanish at the same time ....

Dirk,

are you sure you are not confusing Hiroshi-san with someone else? I watch his auctions and they always attract many bids and end up with sale prices above the starting price.

I know, and I too have bid on those auctions, he really has great items (i'm particularly looking for naginata and good-sized yari at the moment). I'm not questioning his sincerety, nor the quality of the items he is offering. I just thought it was weird that sometimes his items seem to vanish from ebay. (and it's quite difficult to try and buy something that's no longer there ;-) )

Hello

I hardly erase an auction. There is a buyer who sometimes does direct negotiation. When price negotiation was good, I stoped the auction. My item does not have a reserve price. Therefor, I sometimes become a deficit.

Oh, wow, so you are the person behind these auctions? I must say, your auctions have always been among my favorite to view; the blades are gorgeous, the photos are excellent, so much information, too. I aspire to some day bid on one of your auctions. I'm particularly waiting for a nice naginata naoshi to show up; I've seen you post a few in the past and they remain my favorite examples, so I'm hoping to one day acquire one for myself.

I'm glad to know you post here.

Hi Steven

Thank you for your post

I am going to sell nagamaki to Ebay.

It's so long Nagamaki, cutting edge is 57cm. Total length 120cm.

If you interested, please send Email to me.

I seem to recall having seen this item mentioned elsewhere, with photos, but cannot recall where now. It may even have been another item entirely. I do remember it was a beautiful thing, and far outside of my own limits in price.

On that note, I would love to make you a good offer on it, but I am afraid I could not possibly do so at this time. :( Unless you want to hold it for a few more months? ;)

Naturally I would never expect you to do such a thing, nor would I even think to sincerely ask it. I'll be sad to see it go, but hopefully it goes to somebody who can better care for it than I can. One of these days...
