That is not the 3rd edition (I think earlier as you say).

Maybe a plan B for me.

Yes, the mei oshigata is important. I have so many Sukesada that I really need to know which one is which. Impossible to set a correct price on them otherwise. 

Trying to save money by pursuing a used book : )

If I would know for a fact that it would help me with only 1 of my blades I'd purchase a new one.

I think it's the same brand new 3th edition for 150 cdn$. I don't know if they deliver to EU or the price is right. But this is the only one i found.

basically the cost of shinsa, sooooo many Sukesada, workmanship tells all.

the Fimo books are very poor IMHO

+1 to what Steven says. It’s basically a notebook that someone decided to publish. Indexing and cross referencing of Oshigata is nonexistent. Some pages are copies of handwritten notes.

When I was young and innocent, I bought this book. When I read it, I knew I had been conned. This is the wortheless book I have ever read on Nihonto. You will find very general infos on Bizen, easily uploaded on any Nihonto website, then the list of Bizen smiths listed by Hawleys. That’s all. Nothing worth about Ichimonji, ko Bizen, Osafune, Soden.... NEVER BUY THIS BOOK....
