w.y.chan Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 They use to have a suicide girl "Olivia Black" hired to create stories for the show and pretend to fire her because of her modelling photos. Quote
TETSUGENDO Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 w.y.chan, As to why people would make false claims....PT.Barnum, an American president, and reality tv, are(were) aware that many people go thru life in a somnambulistic state, utter a falsehood often enough and it turns to fact. -StevenK 1 Quote
Wayben Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 The word of the day is somnambulistic, sleepwalking. Had to look that one up. Seems to fit. Quote
TETSUGENDO Posted February 12, 2018 Report Posted February 12, 2018 Wayne B, Sadly, it may well. -StevenK Quote
Greg F Posted February 13, 2018 Report Posted February 13, 2018 A shame the sword didnt go to someone with some honor. Greg Quote
J Reid Posted February 13, 2018 Report Posted February 13, 2018 You think Dana white has no honour? Can't say I agree. He may be rolling in $$$, but he's not a fraud. He's a martial artist himself and gives glorious opportunities to true fighters. I'd show him respect. He's obviously new to collecting, but I'm sure he'll take care of the swords he bought. Just my 2 cents Quote
ChrisW Posted April 8, 2020 Report Posted April 8, 2020 What a piece of junk... people can't tell that its damascus, acid-etched steel and lousy pot metal fittings? I suppose that Corey just called Mike in to break the news to the owner, or at least I'd hope. 1 Quote
Guest Posted April 8, 2020 Report Posted April 8, 2020 Respect to Mike Y, what a gentlemanly way of dealing with both the sword and its owner. 2 Quote
Jean Posted April 8, 2020 Report Posted April 8, 2020 Mike is a real gentleman who cares/likes people 1 Quote
Stephen Posted April 8, 2020 Report Posted April 8, 2020 Yes a gracious let down instead of saying it's a piece of junk 1 Quote
16k Posted April 8, 2020 Report Posted April 8, 2020 Oh man, such a great laugh! you could have stood at the other end of the room and seen this sword was fake... a repro, and a bad one as that! 1 Quote
Ken-Hawaii Posted April 8, 2020 Report Posted April 8, 2020 Yes, of course, JP, but think how that would have gone over with the millions of people who watch Pawn Stars. Audiences like a little mystery, not peol e screaming "FAEKE!" Quote
vajo Posted April 8, 2020 Report Posted April 8, 2020 On egun there is selling every day one this million dollar swords. And they sell ???? The last days they sold three original Japanese NCO swords all fake for half of the price of a real one. The buyers dont care about stamps or anything else. If you see some lines in the sword it must be real ???? Quote
vajo Posted April 8, 2020 Report Posted April 8, 2020 The forged in fire series on TV is very popular here in Germany. So a lot of people might think that scrap made blades are real ones because they look better than that on TV? Quote
Oshy Posted April 8, 2020 Report Posted April 8, 2020 I enjoy forged in fire for what it is. Some very talented folks there making some impressive pieces in just a few hours/days. 2 Quote
