Hi Guys

My first post and already asking for help!

Can anyone read the text on the handles of these bokken?

I'm just curious what it is that is written there! It's a bit of a long-shot I know, I couldn't find a closer image....

Thank you.Specialite-bokken-Aramaki.jpg

Thanks!!

Hi ( name unknown)

those are rather modern bokken it seems to me....

those written Kanji on bokken we do currently encounter todays are most times individual names by the owner, or just names of the martial school/ tradition they (individual owners) do practice and learn....

others we do encounter todays, bearing Kanji- are tourist souvenirs you can buy on various temples....

i do encounter this very ofthen, in fact.

your´s picture is too small to read anything....least, for me.

eitherway such is not the traditional way!

i do write you this due the fact that i really good should know about... ;-) .

i do own least a dozend of old (real old) bokken - and there is no single one either "marked" by Kanji or any other sign...

this marking is definitely a "very modern" thing and has nothing to do with real old and antique ones.

Good evening Matt.,

Sorry to come late to this.

The image shows many of the products produced by Aramaki Budogu which is in Miyakonojo, Kirishima Sankei region of Kyushu.

This will explain far better than I:
