Bruce Pennington Posted November 14, 2017 Report Posted November 14, 2017 Found this link on Gunboards. It's got a few stories from the war told by Japanese soldiers. Good reading: https://shatteredjewels.wordpress.com 3 Quote
paul griff Posted November 14, 2017 Report Posted November 14, 2017 Hello Bruce, Nice to read something from the Japanese perspective....Enjoyed reading it this morning when I should have been working....! Wish I could have corrected the author on one point though and I'm sure you would agree....Master Sergeant Kimura was probably very proud of the sword he would have carried whilst commanding the small garrison at Abemama..( paragraph 14 The Garrrison of Abemama )...Thank's for posting, very enjoyable... Regards, Paul.. 1 Quote
Mortis Posted November 16, 2017 Report Posted November 16, 2017 This is wonderful reading. Thanks so much for posting these articles. There is a great documentary, "Japan's War In Color", that shows World War II from the Japanese perspective that is excellent. I'm sure plenty of you all have seen that already as well. 1 Quote
