Blagoy Posted November 1, 2017 Report Posted November 1, 2017 Hello gents, I have interest in Higo Enju school and from a couple of days read and search about them. But i can't find examples for Enju Kuniyoshi 国吉. If some of you have examples will be grateful to share them. If I'm not wrong there is two generation Kuniyoshi, Ko-Enju and Chu-Enju. Thank you! They have others examples as Kunimura, Kunitoku, Kunitomu, Kuninobu, Kunishige and mumei, but not Kuniyoshi. Or maybe i miss something. Quote

Jussi Ekholm Posted November 1, 2017 Report Posted November 1, 2017 Not exactly what you are looking as they are just oshigata for but I think signed pieces by Kuniyoshi are quite rare, here are few Nihonto Koza pg 371 signed Kuniyoshi tanto Koto Zenshu by Markus item 188 which was in TB 623, signed tachi by Kuniyoshi 3 Quote
Jussi Ekholm Posted November 1, 2017 Report Posted November 1, 2017 Not the quality of pics you were probably looking for but here are few. I believe this is the same Kuniyoshi tachi that was featured in TB 623. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C8Z0zNqUMAEcR2r.jpg There was and exhibition in Kasuga taisha in Nara. Kuniyoshi has a meito that was displayed in the exhibition. http://wakuwaku-nara.com/nara-news/kasugataisya-3/ http://www.sankei.com/photo/story/news/161229/sty1612290014-n1.html http://blog.goo.ne.jp/to3300/e/30bba7625b7830c8cca3ad8bcb0e3c59 Iida Koendo had juyo tachi by Kuniyoshi: http://iidakoendo.com/462/ 4 Quote
Blagoy Posted November 2, 2017 Author Report Posted November 2, 2017 Maurice and Jussi, thank you very much, you are awesome. That's why i love this place, because there is always someone who will help you and will know a lot about the subject. I really appreciate the time you spent to help me. As you mentioned signed pieces by Kuniyoshi are quite rare and look he is very skillful. My interest on Enju school start when I saw one mumei katana for sale on Aoi site and started to read and search about them. Really love the early Enju and hope some day I will own their work. Cheers. 1 Quote
