Hello.   Does any one know if edoantiques is out of business? I sent them money a week ago and received no reply (although money was "accepted" and despite daily notes to them) and now I find they have been unlisted from ebay also. Thanks for the help.

I cannot help, but it may be a consolation for you that I am in the same situation. I sent money and am now waiting for the items to arrive. Communication is not good.

John,

I had a friendly, but not smooth mail exchange with Frederic some weeks ago with an order and a payment from my side. Then i was away for two weeks and, coming back in the first October week, asked for my items. Until now, there is no reply.

I emailed Frederic as well, most days it takes 3-5 days, im sure its family or travel. Id give him another week ( i know you have) before being too concerned.

Stephen,

thank you, I will try to be patient.

I am curious to what will happen when you have sent 12 more posts? Will Brian give you a JUYO KATANA as present?

Gentlemen., our esteemed Elder statesman will take the title of Ō - Oyabun of course.

And a Shodai Tadahiro set of Steak Knives with genuine red plastic handles stamped with Kitty Chan.

Not to forget the supreme accolade of unlimited use of the term "Da Boss Man"

Which may be freely used on Tea Shirts, Baseball Caps and as a Horimono on any RJT or Mantetsu Blade of his choice.

Clear it up any?

You Rock Stephen!!

PS can you send me the $5 Dollars by airmail?

Frederic went back home to France, a fellow dealer from Osaka said that he promised to be back... someday

Alex,

thank you for that information! I would have appreciated to buy from Frederick.

In the end I got my money back a few day ago with the help of PayPal customer protection, so I am not really hurt.

Good to hear that, Jean.

Frederic is a really nice guy, modest, no greed, with his own glitches of course but we all have issues.

I will look forward to hear from him again on ebay and yahoo.auctions.

Stephen,

yes I am happy, but it would have been nicer to sort that out directly with Frederick. He could just have talked to me saying 'I have a problem'. I would not have killed him for that! Silently diving away with the money is no solution, while sincere communication is a very good way in most cases.
