I am new to the forum but enthralled in the nihonto. I just want to say thank you for the exceptional information to educate me and others starting in this endeavor of history and craftsmanship.

There is so much information it bogles the mind of a newcomer.

Again, In general I thank you for your general posts and replies to the novice as myself.

Welcome to the forum, Steve. Yes, there's tons of info on this site, as well as useful references. You maight want to start with Markus Susko's excellent Kantei series of articles (https://markussesko.com/kantei/). You'll run into many terms you don't understand, but his articles will give you a matrix to put all the pieces together. And a quick search on NMB will also give you a list of books to get you started.

 

But feel free to ask questions - we've all done that!
