Woodblock Prints

I am trying to find out more about some woodblock prints i purchased about a year ago.

I think the artist is Toyokuni but i cant be 100% sure.

 

If anyone can translate the signatures i would be most grateful.

The first one says Ichiyosai Toyokuni ga, the second Kochoro Toyokuni ga.

There are no Censor or Printer's seals, so looks to be a much later impression.

Why in the second one is he looking at a pair of tweezers?
