Higo-san Posted September 27, 2017 Report Posted September 27, 2017 I had the opportunity to visit Tom a couple of times. He is a true collector of iron tsuba and now wants to part with a couple of quality pieces from his collection - this is really nice stuff and I can recommend Tom as a very kind person. I cannot believe that some pieces have not already gone - some of my favorites can also be found here: http://www.militaria.co.za/nmb/topic/21172-tsuba-christmas-sale-1-kyo-nishigaki-owari/. Good luck Tom - hope to visit you again soon, Chris Quote

Stephen Posted September 30, 2017 Report Posted September 30, 2017 Hummm not one homely women in the bunch! Time for a Oktoberfest!! Quote
Leporello Posted September 30, 2017 Author Report Posted September 30, 2017 Got me, Guido I was really hoping, that no one would take notice of me ´prosting´ with a Choshu tsuba  Quote
Curran Posted September 30, 2017 Report Posted September 30, 2017 Prost back at you. -And a brunette fraulein please. Marius- that is the one that tempted me. Because of the humpback waves, shape, and thinness, I thought Futagoya school (Norisuke) rather than Choshu. Either way, a nice tsuba. The cost of having good hitsuana plugs like those nowaways is nearly what you paid for the tsuba. Quote
Pete Klein Posted September 30, 2017 Report Posted September 30, 2017 Funny - I've always used 'prosit'. Quote

Leporello Posted September 30, 2017 Author Report Posted September 30, 2017 Okay ... in Bavaria we use both words, PROSIT and PROST. The ´Prosit´ has the meaning of ´a toast´, so ´ein Prosit auf die Gemütlichkeit´ means ´a toast to the coziness´ and ´Prost´ simply means ´Cheers´ So anytime, you visit Bavaria or the Oktoberfest and clink your ´Maß´ with the funny clothed natives just use ´PROST´ with a deep sounding voice and you might be considered domestic PROST Quote

My Catch-n-Release 5 tsuba buffer is full at the moment with some insanely ones, but this one tempted me. The Choshu one is also also very interesting and I wondered if Lawson would pick it off, as Choshu is more his domain than mine. Quote
Leporello Posted October 1, 2017 Author Report Posted October 1, 2017 Jup, the Choshu is very interesting and ... on hold Quote
mareo1912 Posted October 9, 2017 Report Posted October 9, 2017 Thanks for the very nice Choshu Tsuba! Fast and easy deal, piece just as shown, a pleasure to work with you Tom Quote
Marius Posted October 9, 2017 Report Posted October 9, 2017 And many thanks for the Futagoyama tsuba I bought, which turned out to be better than in your pictures Quote
Leporello Posted October 9, 2017 Author Report Posted October 9, 2017 My pleasure! Glad, you´re lucky with the tsuba ... maybe you find some more pieces of interest in my current sale!? Best, Tom Quote
