Also the massive "Kanehisa" hot stamp on the bottom of the nakago will tell you which Kanehisa you are looking for.

Thanks to everyone that contributed.  I decided not to buy the sword.  Here's a link to the craigslist listing if anyone else is interested.  The seller has two swords for sale.  I'm not affiliated in any way.
