Marius Posted August 31, 2017 Report Posted August 31, 2017 I have a Japanese tea bowl, a contemporary one, not sure from which kiln, but good work and smallish size. Unfortunatelly i dropped it and it has two chips at its mouth. It is not broken, though. I would love to have these two chips filled with a kintsugi. Would you know an artisan who could do this? Does not need to be in Japan, as this bowl is not antique, Europe or US is OK, as long as it looks good and I can use it afterwards. Any ideas? Allegedly, this can be done with resin and gold powder, and since the chips are not big, it should look good: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/articles/326qTYw26156P9k92v8zr3C/broken-a-pot-copy-the-Japanese-and-fix-it-with-gold Thanks for your help Below is an example of kintsugi.
